CONCORD MUSIC GROUP INTERNSHIP PROGRAM
Concord Music Group is a strong supporter of the practice of providing internships for students interested in a future career in the music industry. To that end, the company provides the opportunity for one or more students to experience life within a record label at various times throughout the year – spring, summer and fall. Students may choose, on a first-come first-serve basis, a specialization in a specific area such as A&R, Publicity, Sales & Marketing, Royalties, Video Production, and Business & Legal Affairs. The company does its utmost to help match a student’s area of interest with our own internal needs.
In order to qualify for the Concord Music Group Internship Program, a candidate student must provide:
1. proof of enrollment in a college or university program which gives credit for music industry internships
2. a resume
3. a cover letter explaining the student’s interest in the music industry
4. 2 letters of recommendation from a professor or adviser familiar with the student’s work and work habits
Qualifying students will be asked to fill out an application and be interviewed, as the number of internships, particularly in specialist areas, is limited. Those selected should be willing to work 16-24 hours every week for three months.
It is the intention of Concord Music Group to provide each intern with as much practical record label experience as possible in a limited time.
