Communion Music - Intern Job Description
Communion Music is seeking full-time students who are interested in a career in the music business to join our team. As a small company, we rely heavily on our interns and view them as an integral part of our team. While interning with Communion Music you will have the opportunity to learn about the concert, record, and music publishing industries, grow your professional network, and go to some of the most exciting music events in NYC.
Responsibilities:
• Assist in concert marketing including social media marketing, email marketing, and writing press releases
• Assist in show advancing including repping NYC shows, selling merch, and coordinating with managers and agents
• Scout up-and-coming talent
• Perform administrative tasks and research projects
• Much more!
Qualifications:
• A passion for music and the music industry
• An ambitious and enthusiastic personality
• Excellent communication skills including professional email etiquette
• Must be able to work independently and take ownership of projects
• Social media savvy
• Excellent computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint
• Must be able to commit 15-20 hours per week

Founded in London in 2006, Communion has worked with artists such as Ben Howard, Gotye, Michael Kiwanuka, Rubblebucket, Catfish and the Bottlemen and many more. Communion Presents - the live promotion aspect of the organization - produces events at venues with capacities ranging from 150 to 10,000.
