WGMB-TV, A Fox affiliate in Baton Rouge, LA is seeking a Chief Engineer to lead and manage our engineering department in a multi-station n. You must have an in depth knowledge of digital and analog technologies as used in a broadcast environment, as well as a good understanding of broadcast IT networks, high power UHF transmitters, broadcast , and ENG technologies.
Responsibilities:
-Manage the day to day technical operations of the stations, including but not limited to FCC compliance, design installation, and maintenance of on air broadcast equipment and production facilities.
-Oversee equipment maintenance
-Management of engineering and master control staff
-Prepare and manage expense and capital budgets
Requirements:
-A minimum of 5 years of experience in technical leadership roles in television
-Team oriented attitude and dedication to quality
-Exceptional knowledge and experience with HDTV, MPEG2, automation, ENG and high power UHF transmitters
-A strong IT background
