PURPOSE: To oversee the day-to-day operations of the Eonline production department for E! and Style Network. To manage all web production, work with any outside vendors and internal designers to ensure quality projects are effective and on time.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Work closely with the designers within Online Design to Flash out projects
• Projects include, but not limited to, banners, rich media, eye blasters, skins, bricks, site design,
headers, games and quizzes
• Provide shortcuts and templates in Flash that will make the department more productive
• Trouble shoot and decipher coding issues with internal department and production
• Work collaboratively and seamlessly with internal departments, production, outside vendors and freelancers on projects
• Check all files before releasing to outside vendors especially banners running on outside sites
• Must keep track of hours worked on projects through BaseCamp
• Must back up all work to department server on a daily basis
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
• Minimum 3-5 years in web design department with practical Flash coding (agency or in-house)
• Thorough knowledge of creative software (Flash AS3, HTML, CSS, Photoshop, Illustrator, Excel and Word)
• 3D, Video Editing and AfterEffects knowledge desirable
• Creative, forward-thinking individual with strong knowledge of Flash and the ability to problem solve
• Must have excellent written and oral communication skills in order to effectively interact with all internal employees and vendors
• Must follow through on all projects to assure that the work is completed and delivered on time
• Must be highly self-motivated with strong organizational skills and the ability to thrive independently in a flexible, fast-paced, deadline driven team environment
• Must be able to work a regular work week and be willing to work some extended hours/weekends when needed
• Must stay familiar with current shows on E!, Style and G4
• Must peruse Eonline com, MyStyle com and G4TV com regularly to maintain overall knowledge of site content and site functionality
• Must maintain knowledge of competitor sites
• Knowledge of the entertainment industry a plus |
