Columbia College Hollywood, a four year liberal arts film school in Tarzana, CA, is seeking an instructor to teach a Math course geared for the sensibilities of visual artists. Topics include Non-Euclidean and projective geometry, as well as many areas that are foundational for cinema. The course will be offered once per week in the mornings or afternoon.
Columbia College Hollywood is a regionally (WASC) accredited non-profit higher education institution that teaches all aspects of filmmaking to college students. We are currently seeking instructors to fill slots in the Spring Quarter; which runs 12 consecutive weeks from April 4 - June 25, 2016. Each class session is four hours once per week. Please do not apply if you cannot give us a guaranteed twelve week commitment.
Previous teaching experience is welcome. An instructor is expected to have a Master's Degree though current and past professional credentials are more pertinent. Each CCH instructor is required to have excellent verbal and written communication skills. CCH hopes the chosen candidate will become part of the ongoing faculty.
The pay for the position is $2,200 per quarter, additional if the instructor is ABD or has a doctorate. A pay increase will take effect after you have taught two quarters with Columbia College. Columbia College Hollywood is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
