Collab, Inc is a Downtown LA based video creator development company and the leading independent network for multi-platform talent. Collab was started by veteran video creators to help make the lives of independent creators easier and to provide everything they need to succeed creatively and financially. We specialize in working with mobile video creators and helping them build their audience and earnings across multiple platforms (YouTube, musical.ly, Vine, Instagram, Snapchat, Facebook, etc). Our network includes over 400 top social media creators with over 700 Million Followers. We are also a digital studio that produces original shows for TV and digital platforms.
Who we are looking for:
We are currently seeking a Copywriter to join our team in Downtown Los Angeles to help write company newsletters, website copy, pitch decks, talent bios and contribute to the Collab twitter and blog . We need an experienced candidate that is highly motivated with a witty sense of humor and a love for digital media. The ideal candidate can multi-task, is creative, and has experience contributing to the overall brand voice, editorial, product copy, and marketing copy for the brand and our creators.
The Copywriter will be expected to develop their skills, working with their passion for writing to expand and improve. The role will involve using feedback from colleagues to sharpen writing skills and create finished pieces that attract and persuade.
Job Responsibilities:
Understand the message Collab is seeking to deliver and translate this into compelling copy
Write witty, grammatically correct copy that will engage the reader
Receive feedback and use it to grow and improve as a copywriter
Understand client specifications to craft copy that is on brand
Owns the daily brand voice across all company touch points
Owns all cross functional copy and deadlines
Works with cross functional partners in brand, talent, creative and production teams to ensure that all copy needs are met and completed
Owns creative requests for all marketing and acquisitions copy
Understands how copy and messaging fit into overall brand goals
Understands competitive landscape in terms of voice, marketing and messaging - informs team on a weekly basis
Monitors competition to ensure that all Collab copy remains unique
Contributes to content when necessary across all digital channels
Ideates engaging content across all digital channels
Desired Experience:
3-4 years experience, preferably working in a similar role as an in-house copywriter for a brand
