CodedPR is a mid-size, bi-coastal lifestyle & fashion public relations agency based in Los Angeles with an office New York. Our clients range from RTW, tech apps, home decor to bridal and personalities. We are one of the fastest growing agencies in Los Angeles with a 300% growth in 2016 and over 50 account wins in a 12-month period.
We are seeking a Vice President, Operations in New York to become a counter-part to our LA management team to support our NY growth and client database. The VP should stem from 10+ years of PR experience both managing teams and business development. The role will consist of providing high-level, strategic press campaigns, client strategy, operational leadership, business development and an overarching plan of action to further establish the New York office.
Responsibilities Overview:
Oversee the day-to-day activities of the New York office including staff development, company development, establishing higher level strategic campaigns for existing clients, manage internal and client communications.
Communicate with LA-based management teams to ensure consistency and cohesive communications are in place between staff and clients.
Manage, mentor and develop staff.
Pitch and secure stories, features and media opportunities for accounts.
Establish protocols uniform to agency standards.
Generate new business through outreach and support; from proposals to taking pitch meetings and more.
Create compelling press strategies to present to clients for larger activations in New York (and select cities)
Develop and implement an integrated strategic communications plan for proposals and pitch meetings.
Be the face of the NY office and provide on-site support when applicable for media and client opportunities -- this includes networking after hours as deemed necessary and worthwhile.
Establish personal professional connections with media and industry tastemakers for co-branded opportunities, media ''asks'' or new business outreach/connects.
Requirements Include:
Bachelor's degree in journalism, public relations, communications, or related field is required
Minimum 10 years experience in a senior management role either in-house or with an agency
Established relationships with top tier reporters and editors
Stellar track record of securing top-tier placements with resources to back.
Extensive writing and editing experience; AP Style
Experience with social media influencer engagement and content campaigns
Experience in managing teams of 7+
Self reliant, organized, professional, hyper-communicative, problem solver & results oriented
Persuasive communicator
