Our interns gain valuable knowledge about the Music Touring Industry. From marketing, to tour management, to negotiating and booking shows, our interns get to take part in literally every aspect of the entertainment industry. Interns at Coast II Coast Entertainment are not used as simple ''go-for's'', this is a real opportunity to gain valuable experience in the music and entertainment fields. No day at Coast II Coast Entertainment will be the same. This part-time position entails assisting in the management and booking of artists, database management, bank runs, answering phones, contract administration, performance advancement, event coordination, and general office management roles. It is important that applicants have an interest in the music business, and are hungry for a comprehensive experience. Unlike other internships, we can offer a truly hands on experience working along side Booking Agents, Promoters, Talent, and well known Managers. Interning at a boutique agency means more hands on experience, and direct coordination with our agents and managers.
We like the following from our interns: self-motivated, able to work autonomously with a team mentality, extremely organized, articulate, multiple languages is a plus, reliable, able to multi-task in a VERY fast-paced environment, MAC & MS Office proficient. Applicants must be able to work a minimum of 16 - 20 hours a week, spread over two or three days. Interns must commit for the minimum of at least 3 months (or the term of their internship program with their university).
Responsibilities will include: booking accommodations and travel, expense spreadsheets, maintaining the calendar, writing up itineraries, handling visa applications / submissions, authorization forms, as well as many other duties.
By the end of your internship experience, you will have a broad understanding of the challenges and duties of a Tour Manager / Day-to-Day manager as well as a Booking Agent.
Salary: This is an unpaid internship.
