We specialize in video, web and mobile for the advertising, marketing and entertainment industries. Depending on the client's needs, we have the capability to handle every stage of production in-house, including conceptualization, shooting, and post-production.
We are looking for a video editor, with experience operating camera, to join our creative production and post team.
Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for shooting and editing projects, while also playing a versatile role in the operations of the company. Duties include, but not limited to:
- Operate camera, from live events on location to in-studio productions.
- Assemble and maintain all raw footage.
- Assemble recorded, raw material into a finished product that's suitable for broadcasting and marketing elements, on and offline.
- Create ''rough cuts''(or assembly edit) of the film for presentation to client's.
- Ability to constructively receive and address creative feedback; adjusting the rough cut as necessary to meet client expectations.
- Reorder or tweak content as necessary to ensure the logical sequencing and smooth running of the film/video.
- Compress and upload videos for delivery.
- Troubleshoot technical problems.
- Update and organize footage, generate reviewable files, and handle final deliveries of necessary formats with or without the aid of an assistant editor.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in non-linear editing platforms (Premiere, Avid, FCP).
- Basic post-production workflow and delivery knowledge.
- Knowledge of HD formats and compressions.
- Digital shooting and workflow experience.
- Keen eye useful for shooting live footage.
- Organized, detailed-oriented, process-friendly
- Ability to work within tight timelines on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Excellent verbal/written communication and analytical skills.
- Ability to think and react quickly and appropriately to unpredictable situations.
- Must be able to work after hours and weekends when necessary.
Pluses:
- Knowledge of current post-production industry-standard workflows and organization.
- Experience in motion graphics and compositing in After Effects.
- Basic color grading knowledge.
- knowledge of lighting design and production sound
- Interest and knowledge in youth, lifestyle, and enthusiast content.
Candidates with a degree related to video production or 2+ years of relevant production and/or post experience are preferred.
