Job Description
Position Overview
The Clear Channel Account Executive identifies and solicits new business while servicing and growing existing accounts. You will be responsible for developing persuasive proposals to address client needs and/or opportunities. You will utilize all available Clear Channel resources to create effective advertising campaigns to achieve client objectives and goals.
Required Skills
As a successful Clear Channel Senior Account Executive, you will:
-Be self-motivated and able to communicate product value.
-Design, present, and successfully execute targeted marketing campaigns.
-Generate revenue that meets or exceeds established sales targets.
-Exercise sound judgment and operate independently.
-Implement company business strategies to generate sales & revenue.
-Monitor competitive media to continually prospect for new account leads.
-Be able to read, draft and comprehend complex and persuasive business correspondence.
-Provide regular reports to Sales Manager regarding prospective sales orders, new prospect lists, forecasts, and competition analysis.
-Service client accounts including preparing sales orders and production requests, resolve billing discrepancies, and assist in account collections.
-Follow station and company practice and policies for processing, invoicing, calculation of sales.
-Establish, maintain, and deepen relationships with prospects, clients and agencies.
Required Experience
-Entrepreneurial & motivated self-starter.
-Knowledge of sales principles and practices.
-Flexible and creative, with an ability to handle stress, deadlines, and financial pressures.
-Ability to find new revenue opportunities and create productive, long-term client relationships.
-Professional appearance and strong interpersonal skills.
-Self-motivated, assertive, and perform well in a competitive sales environment
-At least two years of radio sales experience with both agency and direct accounts.
-Prior prospecting experience through cold calling, networking and research.
-Ability to organize, prioritize and multi task in a fast paced environment.
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
-Valid driver's license (Insurable at standard auto rates).
-A working knowledge of Nielsen/Arbitron ratings and their application to radio sales.
