POSITION SUMMARY
The National Sales Group, Account Executive is responsible for managing a substantial and varied portfolio of the Company's key accounts. The Account Executive must partner with advertisers to meet their program strategy through the use of Out of Home products, while striving to meet and exceed revenue targets.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Achieve or exceed annual revenue and growth targets as set by the National Sales Group
• Build deep and significant relationships with clients, both agencies and advertisers
• Convert target accounts into key accounts for the Company as measured by level of spending
• Prospect and develop leads via agencies and advertisers direct
• Act as a subject matter expert on all media options for clients and agency partners, specifically the Company's assets and capabilities
• Coordinate programs while managing expectations of both the Company and clients for effective plan implementation, including rate and occupancy
• Provide unique, creative and tailored solutions to client's advertising needs
• Build client solutions in coordination with marketing, research, product and revenue management teams
• Responsible for monitoring sign postings, take downs and proofs of performance
• Provide updates to clients & markets on any changes and/or unforeseen service issues
• Maximize profitability through key inventory yield management
• Participate in client entertainment and industry events
• Additional projects and duties as assigned
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
• 5+ years of national sales experience, preferably in the Out of Home industry
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written
• Excellent negotiation and presentation skills
• Must have strong organizational and time management skills
• Deep understanding of how to create compelling proposals that engage clients and win business
• Knowledge of audience delivery targets and ability to understand & interpret audience metrics
• Demonstrate strategic knowledge of media planning fundamentals and integrated multimedia campaigns
• Must be detail oriented
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret verbal and written requests and directions
• Must have the ability to compose letters, memos, emails and other written documentation clearly and concisely
• Be able to present one's self in a highly cooperative and professional manner when meeting both internal and external customers and vendors face to face
• Must have working knowledge of Windows operating system and be proficient in Microsoft software applications (i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.)
• Must have ability to learn and use company and customer system(s)
• Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
• Keen ability to assess situations, perform root cause analysis, and provide solutions
• Prefer a basic level of Salesforce.com knowledge
• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant discipline
• Must possess valid in-state driver's license and must be insurable at standard automobile rates
REPORTING RELATIONSHIP
• Reports to VP, Client Strategy & Partnerships
LOCATION & TRAVEL
• Role will be based in New York
• Ability and expectation for in-market travel of up to 30%, occasional travel out of market, for market visits, presentations, etc.
