POSITION OVERVIEW:
Clear Channel's Total Traffic + Weather Network sales planning group seeks to hire a full-time Junior Sales Planner in our Los Angeles office, reporting to the director of TTWN sales planning. Sales planners help TTWN management maximize revenue through optimal pricing and inventory usage. In addition, the team serves as an integral part of the order process, from reviewing proposals to ensuring proper delivery for clients. The department is a valued partner to sellers, the traffic and research teams and TTWN management.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Monitor sellouts and provide info on available inventory
• Review proposals and orders from account executives
• Verify orders are priced appropriately given level of demand for market and time period
• Propose solutions to clear orders and maximize revenue
• Manage demand from account executives in order to optimize inventory usage
• Check submitted orders for accuracy
• Partner with scheduling team to prevent and address oversell situations
• Ensure proper delivery on network orders
• Track and report sales activity on a daily/weekly basis
• Provide feedback to account executives and sales management throughout the order process
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor's degree
• 1-2 years of sales planning experience preferred but not required
• Strong computer skills, especially Microsoft Excel
• High attention to detail
• Organized, self-motivated, disciplined and thorough
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to interpret data and provide data-driven recommendations
• Ability to propose analytically-based solutions to problems
• Ability to collaborate successfully with diverse individuals
• Ability to work independently or in a team setting
• Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly
