Job Description

Position Overview
The Local Sales Manager (LSM) is key member of the local management team and drives revenue on our assets. This role works with our team of Account Executives (AEs) to maximize local, national, mobile applications and other initiatives of the company. The LSM will create revenue by having a deep understanding of our clients' needs, the local marketplace and through coaching and guiding our team of AEs and the Marking/Sales Support team.
Required Skills
•Drives for revenue goal attainment, both quarterly and annually while reporting, revenue projections, and forecasts.
•Engages with a National Sales organization and their supporting teams to develop impactful and effective marketing resources.
•Implements targeted, innovative, customer centric, business focused initiatives that drive revenue growth by leveraging appropriate resources and partnering with key stakeholders.
•Develops sales force through recruiting, selecting and growing exceptional sales talent; manages and coaches by holding employees accountable against metrics.
•Leads, manages and oversees a culture of diversity and high ethical standards.
•Leads the strategic development of market programs and digital strategies and use Sales to drive revenues and achieve business objectives.
•Cultivates market insights that navigate new opportunities while helping to grow share with the existing base of customers.
Required Experience
•Bachelor's degree required with a preference in business and/or marketing.
•Graduate degree is a plus.
•3-5 years leading a sales organization, with specific accomplishments in roles directly empowering sales teams, building relationships with all levels of an organization and driving cultural change.
•Strong sales talent mindset - exceptional people management and team performance experience.
•Demonstrated ability to make business and staffing decisions while creating positive energy with the team; leads through all circumstance and challenges.
•Media sales experience; understanding of broadcast and internet/digital applications preferred.
•Extensive knowledge of sales principles and practices, and an ability to coach others on them.
•Knowledge of media and advertising industry, business cycles, key revenue and expense drivers.
•Deep and broad business acumen with strong analytical, decision making and problem solving skills.
•Ability to multi-task and prioritize daily activities to drive revenue..
•Excellent verbal and written communications skills including acumen in delivering presentations.
•Proficient in Microsoft software applications (i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).

Physical Demands
•Ability to sit and/or stand at a desk for a minimum of 8 hours a day.
•Ability to travel outside of the office 50% of the time for periodic corporate meetings and industry events.
•Access to a reliable vehicle.
•Possess valid driver's license
