Job Description
Clear Channel Outdoor Holdings, Inc., (NYSE: CCO) is one of the world's largest outdoor advertising companies, with more than 675,000 displays in over 40 countries across five continents, including 47 of the 50 largest markets in the United States. Clear Channel Outdoor Holdings offers many types of displays across its global platform to meet the advertising needs of its customers. This includes a growing digital platform that now offers over 1,000 digital billboards across 39 U.S. markets.
Position Overview
Clear Channel Outdoor has an immediate opening for a full time Senior Outside Account Executive in Northern New Jersey. They will acquire, retain and deepen customer relationships. Account Executives proactively meet face-to-face and over the phone with customers to promote and sell advertising air time to generate revenue. The Account Executive creates revenue by having a deep understanding of their clients' needs and the local marketplace. Applicants must be capable of working in a deadline-oriented environment handling daily tasks including but not limited to prospecting and developing new customer relationships, persuasively communicating strategies for meeting customer needs with the benefits of outdoor advertising products, and ensuring customer satisfaction by facilitating all aspects of the customer's account in cooperation with creative, operations, marketing, and finance staff.
Required Skills
Generate revenue and meet / exceed established sales targets.
Translate market & station business strategies into specific actions that generate sales & revenue.
Monitor competitive media to continually prospect for new account leads.
Market, sell, and service advertising air time.
Maintain an organized format on each sales call, covering all important topics: client marketing analysis, target consumer needs, benefits sought, assignments, and follow-up.
Provide regular reports to Sales Manager regarding prospective sales orders, daily call sheets, itineraries, new prospect lists, forecasts, and competition analysis.
Service client accounts including preparing sales orders and production requests, resolve billing discrepancies, assist in account collections.
Follow station/company practices/policies for processing, invoicing, calculation of sales.
Establish, maintain, and deepen relationships with existing client base & agencies.
Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with corporate, advertising, and public relations communities.
Solicit funding for media and non-media projects, special events
Develop presentations to corporations and agencies designed to sell marketing solutions.
Required Experience
Bachelor's degree required
At a very minimum three years of media sales, and preferably outdoor sales experience.
Ability to grow the business & find new revenue opportunities, and create productive, longterm customer relationships.
Prior demonstrated prospecting experience through cold calling, networking, and meeting functions.
Proven track record of reaching sales targets and revenue goals.
Proven track record of successfully working with automotive clients on a direct level.
Knowledge of sales principles and practices.
Entrepreneurial & motivated self-starter.
Knowledge of Salesforce.com CRM system preferred
Ability to organize, prioritize and multi task in a fast paced environment.
Self-motivated, assertive, performs well in a competitive sales environment
Flexible and creative, with an ability to handle stress, deadlines, and financial pressures.
Ability to design, delivers, and successfully executes targeted marketing plans and presentations.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Professional appearance and strong interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently or collaboratively in a team setting.
Ability to travel. Valid driver's license and state mandated automobile insurance.
Understanding of local markets, customers, and competitors preferred.
Comfortable in Northern New Jersey territory

Technical Aptitude- Proficient in Microsoft software applications (i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.) and Social Media (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn).

Interpersonal Savvy- Relates well to all kinds of people, builds appropriate rapport.

Physical Demands
Ability to travel outside of the office at least 50% of the time for periodic corporate meetings and industry events.
Access to a reliable vehicle.
Valid driver's license.
