City Lit is looking for administrative interns for its current Season- (January - May). City Lit interns are incorporated into all facets of theater management. While focusing on their specific interests, our interns work as an essential part of our small staff. Interns are thrust into the world of arts management with many of the same responsibilities as our full-time directors.
Applicants should be comfortable taking initiative on specific projects, efficient researchers, strong writers, and passionate about theater. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with various social media and on line programs and design and social media skills are a plus.
Responsibilities include:
Coordinating subscription and program mailings
Managing audience information
Assisting in social media, marketing and advertising
General office management - phones, mail, etc.
Assist with benefit event planning, donor & sponsorship campaigns
Literary research, casting assistance
Hours: minimum of 20 hours per week
Opportunities:
Depending on college policy, we encourage interns to seek academic credit for their internships. Also attendance at City Lit events, industry ticket discount offers, networking with artists and administrators in the Chicago theater community.
