Who we are: At Cinestate we produce feature films, publish books, and create original audio programming, and pride ourselves on being an outlet for bold creators. The content we produce is fueled by the passion behind each and every one of our unique writers. We are seeking interns that share our passion for letting the creators do what they do best, create.
Who we are looking for: We are seeking interns currently enrolled in college,especially those majoring in film, marketing or the arts. Our ideal candidates will have an interest in the entertainment and/or publishing business. We are looking for candidates with strong written and oral communication skills. The candidates will be task oriented and self-starters. Along with your resume please send in any examples of projects you may have worked on or links to any articles or stories you have written.
What you will do: The entertainment world is forever changing and so may your day to day. While here at Cinestate you will be exposed to many facets of the entertainment business. You will read scripts, manuscripts, pitches and complete a coverage form for each work. You will also be responsible for keeping up with the entertainment news, staying on top of indie releases in theaters and the publishing world. Each week you will complete movie and book reviews as well as searching websites like indie wire and rotten tomatoes to see what is currently trending. You may also be assigned projects from different departments in Cinestate, including marketing, social media and office
management. During your internship you will be assigned a project that will be due upon completion of the program.
What you will learn: Simply put you will learn valuable skills to prepare you for a career in publishing or film. You will work directly with key players of the indie publishing and film worlds.
What we want to accomplish: We want to give creators a voice and that all starts from within. Cinestate's internship program wants to be an incubator for talent and wants to help grown the future of entertainment.
*One final note: We want both the company and intern to get the most out of this experience so the selection process will be completed with interviews done by executive team members as well as the internship coordinator.
