Search for CG Supervisor for Feature Animation jobs in Montreal-QC
Cinesite Montreal is seeking a CG Supervisor for the Feature Animation division. Ideal candidate is looking for an opportunity for a highly organized and motivated CG Supervisor who desires to lead a top quality and fast paced animation team.
Job Responsibilities
* Be the driving force for the creation and adjustments of the Feature Animation Pipeline, supported by an excellent technical team
* Create and maintain an atmosphere where the objective is to create an engaging animated film of top quality, while managing and reducing the complexities of production.
* Work closely with the Director, Head of Story, Art Director and other members of the production team to create a memorable story that will resonate with the audience.
* Work with the Director, Head of Story and Art Director to ensure that the film is designed to maximize the budget and schedule
* Ensure that the project maintains a consistent quality and style, as established in consultation with the creative leads
* Work with the CG departments to establish the overall pipeline, workflow and directory structure for the production
* Coordinate retakes and final shots with the Director
* Distribute work and establish deadlines for CG departments, measure quality of work and create clear objectives to monitor progress and results
* Technically interpret the Director's vision for all CG Departments in conjunction with the Animation Supervisor
* Provide creative ideas and solutions for the film on both a story, visual and technical level
* Mentor department leads and artists to encourage the growth of the division
* Incorporate changes from the Creative team, in accordance with the budget and schedule
* Be able to flag and solve potential delays or problems to stay on budget and on schedule
Qualifications
* Bachelor degree preferred
* 7 years of experience working in the animation industry, including comprehensive knowledge of all aspects of CG, pipeline and associated software/plugins. Feature Animation or Animated Television experience preferred.
* Extensive experience with a Maya based pipeline
* Intense passion for creating a film that will set itself apart from other films currently in production
* Experience with both Stereo and Stereo conversion
* Understanding of animation timing, cinematic scene and dramatic structure
* Ability to work collaboratively and on a deadline
