Production Accountant - 1 Year Contract (New York)

Producing more than 400 hours per year of multi-genre television for international broadcasters, and with a rapidly expanding library of 2500 hours, Cineflix is a recognized leader with offices in Montreal, Toronto, London, New York, Los Angeles, Vancouver, and Dublin.
The Position:
The Production Accountant role is responsible for the financial management of multiple productions. Responsibilities include financial and accounting functionalities on our factual and factual entertainment television productions. The person in this role will report directly to the Head of Production Accounting, and will also interact with individuals throughout the company associated with the specific assigned productions.
This is a one-year contract based out of our New York office.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Ensure compliance and maintain department's filing systems.
• Prepare petty cash reports, cost reports, expense reports.
• Provide administrative support and banking duties within the department.
• Perform cash forecasting, resource planning and scheduling.
• Perform general administrative duties: data entry, draft documents, manage correspondence, file papers, make photocopies, send faxes, make corrections, etc.
• Liaise with the Production Managers and Executives for cost reporting
• Responsible for month-end reporting and reconciliations
• Provide required information to corporate for audits
• Responsible for General Ledger setup in Vista
Qualifications/Skills:
• VISTA experience (Global Vista experience an asset)
• Excellent computer skills - Word, Excel
• Experience in AP, Petty Cash, Funding, Bank reconciliations
• Ability to prepare and update cost reports (ETCs)
• Experience in managing several productions simultaneously
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Strong organizational skills, including organizing and maintaining accounting
