Position Summary
Do you want to be a key part of a team that drives strategy for a new business and works on critical corporate initiatives? We are looking for a Corporate Development Manager, in our Los Angeles headquarters, who will interface with various areas of the company and have unparalleled insight into what it takes to run and grow an entertainment company. This roll will interact with C-level executives within the company as well as bankers, lenders and external advisors. You will be at the center of the digital revolution shaping the entertainment industry.
Responsibilities/Duties
- Report to the Executive Director Corporate Development and FP&A with significant C-level exposure
- Develop and maintain financial models for internal and external parties
- This role will be heavily involved in the Digital Cinema business and our over-the-top digital networks (OTT)
- Perform complex financial and business analyses
- Prepare investor presentations under guidance of Executive Director
- Assist in the evaluation and execution of strategic partnership / M&A opportunities which we expect to continue over the next few years
- There is a constant need for various ad-hoc strategic projects either preparing a business plan for one of our new initiatives or analyzing various strategic opportunities
- Support for the entertainment financial planning & analysis (FP&A) functions
Specific Knowledge Abilities and Skills
- Financial modeling
- Comfortable with the principles of corporate finance
- Strong excel skills
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills. Not every day and every project will be the same
- Self-starter who can excel in a fast-paced fluid environment
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically and creatively while applying sound business judgment and quantitative analytics
- Excellent oral and written skills to communicate complex issues and influence others internally and externally
Basic Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree
- 2-4 years' experience in investment banking, consulting or media strategy
- Superior financial modeling skills
- Attention to detail, excellent organization skills, and ability to manage multiple projects and responsibilities
- Ability to work hard and have fun
Preferred Qualification
- MBA, CFA or CPA
- Digital media experience
- Ambitious self-starter with demonstrated ability and willingness to roll up sleeves and execute to get the job done
- Mandarin fluency a plus
