As a artist associate, the successful candidate will work with the head of department or independently on these tasks, as appropriate, and with increasing independence over time.
• Booking one-off gigs, mini-tours, and full tours at churches, major conference, festivals and events around the country.
• Issuing contracts and riders for gigs to the venues and artists and ensuring that they are signed and returned in good time.
• Invoicing for gigs and chasing payment to ensure that acts are paid quickly.
• Liaising with venues, tour managers and acts to make sure they have all the necessary information for the gig before the gig, and following up afterwards and dealing with any problems.
• Co-coordinating marketing for gigs (including ensuring that print is distributed as necessary and that venues have all necessary biogs and images), in conjunction with the press and marketing department.
• Building relationships with clients and working to expand the number of venues we work with, and the acts that they book.
• Building relationships with acts (those on our roster) with a view to booking gigs for them.
• Co-coordinating (with the management department) the production of regular mail-shots to venues with details of acts available for booking.
• Basic Administration of artist and tour file
Requirements: skills of writing, listening and verbal communication. Skill of decision making and team building are another necessity to this job. Management skills should include time management Must be well- organized. Must be creative in mind.
