Full Time Unpaid Internship

Job Title:Athletic Training Intern
Reports To:Director of Athletic Training
FLSA:Hourly-Non Exempt
Job Purpose:Learn Practical Skills Application while Assisting AZL Reds Athletic Trainer.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Assist with duties as assigned by supervisory Certified Athletic Trainer.
• Performs duties as workload necessitates for duties assigned by supervising ATC.
• Typical daily tasks consist of but are not limited to:
• Preparation
• Stocking
• Cleaning and other general maintenance of training room
• Assist with treatments as indicated by supervisory ATC
• Observe field coverage of games and assist with field set-up and tear-down
• Observe and learn from supervisory ATC during daily tasks
Experience, Education and Licensure:
• Must be enrolled and in good standing at a 4-year college offering a CAAHEP Athletic Training
• Education Program Program(ATEP)
• Student Athletic Training experience
• Current Basic First Aid and CPR certification from recognized provider. (AHA, ARC or equivalent)
Requirements:
• Must be enrolled and in good standing of CAAHEP Athletic Training Education Program.
• Junior or Senior year of degree plan.
• Current CPR certification from recognized provider. (AHA, ARC or equivalent)
Work Environment:
• Work is normally performed in a typical Athletic Training room work environment and HIPAA compliance as well as discretion are required.
• Employee will have “game-day” responsibilities where the employee may be exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time.
• Hours will include nights, weekends and may include holidays.
Expectations:
• Adhere to Cincinnati Reds Organization Policies and Procedures
• Act as a role model within and outside the Cincinnati Reds Organization
• Demonstrate flexible and efficient time management and ability to prioritize workload
• Meet Department productivity standards
