ABOUT THE COMPANY:
Center Theatre Group is one of the nation's most influential and ambitious nonprofit theatre companies, producing and presenting a wide variety of plays and musicals each year in our three Los Angeles venues: the Ahmanson Theatre, the Mark Taper Forum and the Kirk Douglas Theatre. A beacon of creativity and a driving force in the creation, development and production of new work, Center Theatre Group has been the birthplace of plays that have been honored with Tony Awards, Ovation Awards, L.A. Drama Critic Circle Awards, NAACP Awards, Pulitzer Prizes and the Olivier Award.
Through the work on our stages as well as our robust artistic and community programs, Center Theatre Group entertains, creates, engages and inspires and we proudly continue our 50-year tradition of using the art of theatre to broaden horizons and illuminate new perspectives. We entertain audiences with celebrated Broadway shows, thought-provoking stories and adventurous new plays. As a leading producer of new works, we create by commissioning new shows and producing world premieres - over 100 total in the past decade. Our interactive programs engage audiences across generations, demographics and circumstance. Our award-winning education programs inspire the next generation of theatregoers, artists and artisans. And no matter what we do, we put theatre at the center of it all.
Center Theatre Group commits to creating a safe space where the values of diversity, equity and inclusion permeate all levels and all aspects of our work. We aim to attract, nurture and retain staff in a supportive home where we can be our best selves. Because theatre is a cultural force with the capacity to transform the lives of individuals and society at large, we have a duty to celebrate our commonalities and embrace our differences in order to ensure that everyone has access to our work onstage, behind the scenes, and in the community
