Under the supervision of the Tour Director, the Artistic Coordinator ensures the level of quality and fidelity of the show and manages the departments that are directly linked to it (stage manager, artists, decors and costume department). The Artistic Coordinator also ensures the implementation and monitoring of projects that are assigned by the Tour Director.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Ensure efficiency of the operations in order to meet requirements of the shows ;
• Ensure the follow up and respect of the integrity of the show with the creators;
• Ensure a follow up with the artists in order to maintain the level of quality of the show ;
• Work jointly with the Equestrian Director in the daily development of the content of the show;
• Circulate the daily content of the show to the artists;
• In collaboration with the heads of department, plan, organise and supervise the operations of the artistic department (schedules, purchases, transport, inventory and maintenance) ;
• Ensure that the preparation of the budget is carried out within the framework of the budget cycle proper to each market;
• In collaboration with the Tour Director, manage all the budgets of the artistic department;
• Transmit weekly to the pay department, the data necessary for the payment of each artist and employee of the department (time sheets);
• Ensure transmission of information between the related departments on tour;
• Ensure the well-being of the artists and the employees of the department;
• Approve the selection and hire of artists if necessary;
• In collaboration with the heads of department, plan and supervise the set up and tear down operation of the training areas;
• Participate in daily directors' meetings;
• Participate in tour meetings;
• Participate in artistic meetings.
REQUIREMENTS
• Relevant experience in the management of an artistic department;
• Experience in budget management;
• Leadership skills;
• Autonomous and organized;
• Ability to manage a team;
• Ability to work within tight deadlines;
• Interested in touring full-time with the show and authorized to travel and work in North America and internationally.
