Animation Production Manager is responsible for the management of all processes, procedures, outputs and deliverables for Animation at Cartuna.
The role's key relationship is with the Head of Animation and Development, working closely together to ensure that the Animation outputs are aligned with the production schedule as well as the creative vision for each series / project.
The Animation Production Manager will have management of:
- In-house Animator (daily/weekly assignments)
- Lead Animators (per project)
- Assistant Animators (per project)
- Animation Schedules (per project)
- Post-Production (per project)
- Deliverables (per project)
The main responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:
- Partnership with and key-support for the Head of Aimation and Development in the running of the Animation team(s), department and general series production.
- Key point of contact for all issues relating to In-house Animator.
- Contributing to the creation and maintenance of the Master
Schedule for the project, in particular as it relates to Animation.
- Working with the Head of Animation and Development to forecast Animation crew
forecasts in line with the Master Schedule.
- Overseeing the team resources, covering both internal artist management as well as working with the recruitment team.
- Forecasting delays and shortfalls and communicating issues to Head of Animation and CEO as necessary.
- Maintaining a high level of communication between the other members of the Cartuna team, discussing broad production issues and feeding them back to the Head of Animation and CEO where necessary.
- Working with the Head of Animation to distribute animation team schedules and milestones for the Cartuna team to work with, and managing them through the duration of the project.
- Supervising timely communication between Production and relevant Supervisors and Artists.
- Supervision of daily Animation Department operations.
- Creative review attendance and management in high level reviews.
- Mentoring and development of Animation Production staff in the running of the department and all production interactions.
- Administering crew performance reviews with relevant creative supervisors.
- Inclusion and, often, oversight in all the animation meetings and production processes, increasing their efficiency and relevancy where needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor Degree
- Background in Animation
- 1 - 3 years as a Producer (digital, TV or film)
