Carl Fischer Music is one of the country's oldest educational and classical music publishers. Located in New York City, the company maintains its own Production, Licensing and Copyright, Royalties, Marketing and Sales departments. We also assist many orchestras, ensembles and universities throughout the world with our music rental and custom print departments.
Carl Fischer Music is offering students the opportunity to enhance their resume with real work experience. This is a great opportunity for students looking to gain hands-on knowledge and experience in the music publishing industry.
Internship opportunities will be available to students in the following departments:
• Production
• Licensing & Copyright/Royalties
• Marketing.
Interns are required to work a minimum of about 15 hours per week; we offer flexible schedules to accommodate students. The interns will receive a stipend of $4.00 per hour, as well as a reduced fare Metrocard to assist in transportation expenses.
The successful candidate will be a current undergraduate or graduate student who is passionate about (classical) music and the arts, experienced and proficient in Microsoft Office applications, i.e. Word and Excel, possesses excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with people in a respectful and efficient manner. While candidates do not need to be a music student, some experience with music is helpful and some tasks require a basic knowledge of music.
