The Business Development Manager is a key member of our sales team, working with sales, marketing and business leadership to build and deliver client relationships to exceed pipeline targets. The Business Development Manager communicates openly and effectively within the sales team and across the organization to ensure the delivery of stellar results for our clients.
Under the direction of the Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing, the Business Development Manager will develop, create, and build relationships with clients and prospects in linear and non-linear broadcast, educational and corporate organizations in order to obtain closed captioning, subtitling, transcription and video description projects. This position will also be responsible in developing and facilitating the proposal process for specific clients including; budget and pricing development, proposal writing, contract negotiations and client presentations.
Minimum Responsibilities:
Effectively using a variety of sales techniques and materials - cold calls, presentations, in-person meetings, cultivating relationships, networking, and research.
Prepare and present quarterly business plans to management; defining quarterly goals for client prospecting, quote development and closing of business.
Develop, present, and negotiate contracts with clients and prospects.
Proficiency using a CRM system and keeping account and sales date current (e.g. MS Dynamics) as well as MS Office suite
Monitor competitors, market conditions, and product development.
Operate with unquestionable integrity, possess a strong sense of personal responsibility, enthusiasm, and a winning attitude - 'A' Players.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years' experience in media post production sales, consulting services sales, media post production sales, managed services sales or media software sales.
Minimum of 3 years in lead generation, qualifying prospects and closing complex B2B sales.
Minimum of a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, preferably in media and entertainment marketing and sales, post production, online media, or media accessibility.
Experience with RFP and proposal writing; excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Possesses self-motivation, tenacity and entrepreneurial vision.
