Capital Concerts, Inc. seeks a Production Accounting Assistant who is looking for a great summer experience learning the ins and outs of live TV production. The Production Accounting Assistant will closely work with the Line Producers and Production Manager, and report to the Chief Financial Officer.
The Production Accounting Assistant will be responsible for assisting in the day to day accounting operations for 2 large-scale live television events airing nationally. The ideal candidate is a team player, with excellent communication skills and a strong work ethic. Candidates should demonstrate a desire for a long-term career path in the media with an emphasis on accounting/finance.
Term of employment will be May through July/August 2017 (subject to potential slight change).
Essential Responsibilities:
--Review and Enter Purchase Orders, Invoices, etc. Gather supporting documentation needed to process invoices.
--Gather payroll start paperwork and input into freelance staff on-boarding system.
--Review and Reconcile Petty Cash and Credit Card statements. Work closely with Production Management on reconciling credit card spend.
--Circle back frequently with production team on outstanding items related to payment of invoices and processing of payroll.
Skills & Qualifications:
--Must be a self-starter with extreme attention to detail, excellent follow-through, and a willingness to learn.
--Must be well-organized and be able to multi-task and meet deadlines.
--Must have strong Excel skills and knowledgeable in other basic computer programs.
--Strong ability to interface with different departments in a professional manner.
--Aptitude to read and interpret basic contractual language and to execute actions or deliverables as required.
Eligibility Requirements:
--College degree or in process.
--Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States.
--Must be 18 years or older.
