VPAC Contracts Associate (JID 6738)
Administrative Analyst/Specialist Exempt

Full-Time / $3897 - $5200 / mo.
Major Duties
Under general supervision of the Program and Artistic Administrator, the VPAC Contracts Associate oversees the contracting of presented, co-presented and rental events at The Great Hall and Plaza del Sol. The incumbent works with all relevant Artist Management and talent agencies, independent producers, VPAC departments and the CSUN Financial services contracting department to ensure the timely execution of all performance contracts, riders and related documents, in addition to Facility Rental Agreements; is responsible for facilitating the contracting, proper documentation and scheduling for all events at The Great Hall and Plaza del Sol, in adherence with VPAC and CSUN policies and protocols; serves as the first point of contact for all rental events, working closely with the VPAC Events Manager and Production Administrator to ensure a seamless experience for those events.
Qualifications
Equivalent to graduation from a college or university with a Bachelor's degree in a job-related field. Equivalent to three (3) years of full-time, progressively responsible technical, analytical, or performing arts experience. Contracts administration experience. Additional experience in job-related field may be substituted for up to two (2) years of the required education, on a year for year basis.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Working knowledge of general practices in Performing Arts, Production Services, Theatre or related fields and programs. Working knowledge of complex file management. Working knowledge of operational analysis and techniques. Thorough knowledge of all aspects of production, including front of house, ticketing, and post-show settlements. Customer service mindset and skills are crucial. Ability and specialized skills to expertly investigate and analyze problems with a broad administrative impact and implications. Ability to: supervise and/or train others and provide lead work direction; interpret, and apply a wide variety of policies and procedures to develop conclusions and make recommendations; compile, write and present reports related to program or administrative specialty; communicate clearly and effectively both orally and in writing; act independently in completing any administrative functions within the production department.
Pay, Benefits, & Work Schedule
The university offers an excellent benefits package.
The salary range for this classification is: $3897 - $6326 per month.
The anticipated hiring range: $3897 - $5400, dependent upon qualifications and experience.
Hours: Full Time 40hrs/wk; will include some evenings and weekends.
