What part will you play?
Work with editorial/production to book trucks, satellite space and crews for correspondent/guest inserts from field for pre-tapes and live air.
Position requires daily working relationships with a large array of positions and departments including: NY Tech Ops, Atlanta & DC TPM Bridges, QC (Atl), field producers, Photo Journalists and satellite truck operators to facilitate the technical and logistical traffic to support live news programs.
What will you be doing?
Ensure incoming feeds are quality controlled per CNN standards.
Help director set-up look of live shots.
Working with the Audio Designer to assign, establish and coordinate IFB and PL lines.
Partnering with the Technical Director the TPM is responsible for managing and maintaining control room intercom and monitor wall incoming source router assignments.
Train/support editorial/production staff on use of control room technology including intercom, routers, and prompter systems.
What do we need from you?
5 years experience with operations lines, satellites, and technical facilities.
Demonstrated knowledge of production systems, satellites and fiber assets, routers and operational systems in use at CNN.
Undergraduate degree or 4-5 years relevant experience with operational lines, satellites and technical facilities maybe substituted in lieu of degree.
* Ability to multi-task in a live news (i.e. stressful) environment
*Extremely strong communications skills - essential during show planning and execution (live control room)
*Quick-thinking/problem solving are important to incumbent's success.
