Responsibilities
• Assist Technical Manager with responsibilities as needed.
• Operate Sony robotics system for multiple studio cameras.
• Control Azzurro robotics system for flash-cam studio.
• Audio mixing/assist.
• Manage audio equipment including multiple microphones, IFB's and wireless mics, prepare talent and guests with proper audio equipment as needed.
• Operate Rosco ND filter shades.
• Adjust lighting instruments for proper exposure on subject Qualifications/Requirements • Knowledge of dial-up box, jack-fields and patching of telos phone lines.
• Knowledge of Smartfade lighting board
• Familiarity with shading of cameras using Tektronix scopes
• Capability to paint cameras
• Comfortable with the application of make-up/powder on guests/talent when necessary
• Knowledge of Grass Valley video router, ability to switch routes quickly when needed.
• Knowledge with Bright Author software to route animated loops, video, or pictures to anchor desk and flash-cam monitor
• Familiarity with RTS panel.
• Must be able to perform duties under the pressure of a live television production environment while exhibiting great attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize and service multiple production requests at the same time.
• Demonstrate analytical and problem solving skills. Desired Characteristics • Associates, Bachelor's degree or related experience in broadcast television production preferred.
• 1-5 years' experience in a live broadcast environment necessary.
• Proficient in Word, Outlook and Excel.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to perform in fast paced, high pressure situations as necessary.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Must be flexible and able to work all shifts including early mornings, nights, and weekends.
• Familiarity/Experience with CNBC a plus.
