The Senior Vice President & General Manager, Digital Media, CNBC will be responsible for developing and executing upon a business plan globally that achieves growth and competitive advantage for CNBC Digital.
• Responsible for CNBC's Digital P&L that includes CNBC.com and CNBC's mobile businesses including CNBC's subscription product CNBC PRO.
• Accountable for CNBC Digital Operating Cash Flow and Free Cash Flow and all NBCU financial measures. Manages ROI assessment and prioritization of resources for staffing, Capex, OpEx for full digital P&L.
• Establish & manage business with market competitive operating mechanisms and metrics that are required for commercial growth.
• Partnering with Sales develop a digital sales strategy and tactical plan that delivers consistent revenue growth. The digital sales strategy should include maximizing the value of integrated sales across TV and digital.
• Oversee editorial content for digital and ensure content is appropriately aligned to maximize revenue streams.
• Identify, evaluate and prioritize growth opportunities in .com & mobile spaces, including subscription model, new products, partnerships, and primetime related content.
• Actively partner across CNBC to link platforms (TV, etc.) for CNBC's competitive advantage
• Work collaboratively with functional peers to effectively manage CNBC Digital (e.g. Sales, Technology, Marketing, Finance, HR).
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
• 10 years' experience leading and managing a successful and profitable digital enterprise ideally within business news, news or a highly affluent environment.
DESIRED CHARACTERISTICS
• MBA or comparable graduate degree with significant commercial experience.
• Proven ability to deliver financial results and manage P&L for growth.
• Expert in digital space with a forward looking approach to competitive marketplace practices and needs. Understands how to leverage digital metrics for commercial success.
• Deep understanding of digital consumers and how to maximize revenue from digital platforms both now and in the future.
• Proven ability to develop competitive strategy and deliver results. Able to quickly identify key strategic levers for CNBC Digital and build execution plans to deliver results.
• Superior leadership skills with experience leading digital teams. Demonstrable expertise in setting vision and strategy and motivating teams to achieve results. Ability to work in a matrix structure and work collaboratively with peers and across the organization.
• Creative commercial leader who is able to partner effectively with sales and generate ideas/ opportunities to maximize revenue streams for CNBC Digital. Experience building new and diverse revenue streams.
• Exceptional external relationship skills and proven ability to develop strong commercial relationships with C Suite and high profile influencers in CNBC's space.
