Responsibilities The News Promo Producer/Editor reports directly to the Executive Producer, to conceptualise, produce and edit on-air promotions, show topicals, interstitials and brand awareness campaigns for CNBC International. Qualifications/Requirements KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conceive, write, produce and edit original, creative promos for news events and sponsored programme segments.
- Monitor breaking news and core programming to collect promotion ideas, sound bites and news clips in order to regularly update Proof of Performance and news promos.
- Liaise with producers, networks and employees involved with promo production, including editorial, graphics, scheduling and operations.
- Quality check edited material prior to broadcast and ensuring that all work is completed to a high technical standard.

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENTS
- Solid understanding of financial markets, business and economics.
- Strong record of creating compelling promos.
- Solid, creative writing skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Experience of at least one of the following edit systems: Adobe Premier, Edius, Final Cut, Final Cut x, Avid.
- Knowledge of general systems, practices and broadcast standards
within a wider news/operations environment.
- Fast, adaptable non-linear editing skills.
- Excellent sense of pace and timing
- Shoot experience, including working with talent and crews would be advantageous
- Ability to visualise the written word and express it in pictures and sound.
- Possess the ability to interpret and effectively communicate ideas.
- Ability to work calmly and effectively in extremely stressful time critical situations
- Must be eligible to work in the UK.
