HR Manager (CNBC), EMEA
This role will be responsible for the day to day operational HR support, advice and guidance required to ensure the business operates to maximum effect and is in line with the overall HR planning and strategy for CNBC International as lead by the VP of HR for CNBC International. This role also supports the VP of HR, in defining and implementing HR strategy, building strong and trusted relationships with employees and managers across the CNBC EMEA, CNBC International and the broader International HR organisation.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Operate as a true business partner to CNBC EMEA providing day to day operational support aligned to the business strategy
Contribute to the CNBC International HR agenda and strategy and act as active participant and collaborator within the International HR team.
Build and maintain effective partnerships with CNBC HR Manager in SG and specialist International HR teams, including Reward, Employment Law, Global Mobility, Talent and Development.
Coach, develop and challenge the relevant CNBC Leadership Team members on the execution of growth plans and on people leadership
Support and manage annual business cycles, including employee opinion survey, talent review, performance management, headcount planning & budget management
Ensure successful delivery of HR work streams for strategic business projects
Lead (when relevant) and participate in identifying, prioritising, reviewing and updating HR processes to ensure we continuously improving and are easy to do business with
Act as role model, coach and support for the HR Co-ordinator
Working with the Talent team, manage the recruitment process by working closely with the hiring manager to understand the needs, identify the best source of candidates and support with interviewing candidates
Ensure accurate job descriptions are available for each vacancy, roles are benchmarked and full business approval is in place.
Work proactively with HR Co-ordinator to prepare employee contracts and amendment letters
Support the starters/leavers process, including on-boarding & induction for new joiners
Support all functions but with a key focus on News, Operations and Sales to continue to build a pipeline of talent and focus on retention strategies for these key groups going forward.
Possess a strong understanding of employment law to deliver a full and professional service across all employee relations activities.
Respond to manager and employee requests promptly, managing multiple stakeholders.
Work closely with HR Co-ordinator to ensure all systems, processes and administration relevant to CNBC International are maintained, up to date and managed effectively.
Be an advocate for performance management supporting the annual calendar and practices, valuing and encouraging the conversation
Lead on and manage the learning and development nominations throughout the year ensuring CNBC International's L&D budget is used to best effect, prioritising suitable attendees and following up with effective evaluation.
Support key HR initiatives, including performance management, annual surveys and key employee communications.
Support the VP of HR to plan and deliver the annual organisational and talent review process working closely with the HR leader to implement the subsequent strategy planning for the HR agenda.
Support the maintenance of all systems of record as per employee lifecycle events.
Adhere to process and ensure compliance across all aspects of employee records.
Work with HR Coordinator to ensure that all appropriate employee benefits applications are managed in a timely manner, and that all payroll documentation is filed and processed each month.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Strong generalist Human Resources experience, ideally with international experience
Excellent interpersonal skills, both written and verbal: able to build strong relationships with, and influence, stakeholders across client groups
A focused and objectives-driven team player who can effectively prioritise workload
Commercially aware individual with a passion to help identify and drive the HR strategy
Solid grasp of employment law within the UK and wider pan-European media environment.
Supports diversity and embraces change initiatives
Discreet and sensitive to confidentiality
Excellent knowledge of MS Office
Experience in an international, matrix-led and fast moving organisation
Education and Qualifications
Graduate or equivalent qualification
CIPD qualified is desire
