Full Time Job
As Director of Program Strategy for CNBC Prime, you will work with SVP of Program Strategy to develop and implement both the short term and long term primetime programming strategy for the network.
• Plan and execute program schedules for CNBC Prime, effectively using available inventory to achieve ratings growth and deliver on targets.
• Manage day to day short and long term scheduling operations.
• Partner with Research and react to ratings and data on a daily basis to recommend changes.
• Continuously contribute on brand, ratings- generating scheduling ideas.
• Oversee the creation of schedules and schedule changes in COMPASS.
• Study competitive data and marketplace trends and share with greater Prime team to inform decisions.
• Create and maintain tracking documents that aid in the short term scheduling of Prime.
• Assist with development of CNBC's long term Primetime rollout.
• Work with SVP to build upfront grids for budget/ estimates process.
• Communicate programming plans across the company including with the On-air Promotion, Production, Press, Marketing and Digital teams.
• Screen CNBC primetime programming in advance of air and provide coverage that drive scheduling tactics.
• Manage the relationship between programming and the NOC.
• Liaise with Pricing and Planning and inform them of potential changes to assess concerns.
• Work with Sales and Client Solutions teams as needed including developing strategic stunts for potential sponsorships.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
- At least 5 years of experience in program planning/scheduling at a cable or broadcast network.
- Extensive knowledge of and passion for television, film, and pop culture
