Data & Insights Manager (12-Month Ftc)
Responsibilities The Data & Insight Manager will support the Data & Insight Director in delivering CNBC International's TV and digital research services primarily to the commercial team and external clients. They will also support broader research and insight projects on an ad hoc basis to different departments in the CNBC International business. The Data & Insight Manager role, based in London, will supervise a Data & Insight Coordinator and will report to the Data & Insight Director International, Qualifications/Requirements KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Support the Data & Insight Director in delivering CNBCs' research service to internal and external stakeholders
• Responsible for the smooth running of CNBCs' TV and digital ad sales request process, ensuring the timely delivery of data
• Analysis and interpretation of TV and digital syndicated data and management of bespoke research projects within the department
• Analyses of syndicated surveys and web analytics tools e.g. EMS, PAX, ComScore, Omniture
• Production of regular reports covering ad spend (market share) and TV/digital audience behaviour (market positioning)
• Point of contact for digital research for CNBC.com ad sales and editorial divisions
• Production and delivery of internal and external dashboards for key clients and stakeholders
• Accompany sales managers at media agency/advertiser meetings delivering research presentations and insights to external stakeholders
• Responsible for the management and development of the Data & Insight Coordinator
SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & REQUIREMENTS
• Previous experience in a similar role along with people management skills
• Knowledge of the stages of the research process from questionnaire design, data analysis and creating a compelling story essential
• Experience of working with Crosstab software such as IMS or Telmar required
• Knowledge and experience in dashboarding and data visualisation desired
• Knowledge and experience with digital metrics essential, knowledge of internal syndicated surveys advantageous
• Knowledge of a wide range of digital analytics tool such as Omniture and DFP a plus
• Ability to analyse and interpret data and communicate key findings to internal and external stakeholders
• Analytical, with a creative approach to research and data interpretation
• Self-motivated, organised and prepared to work under pressure
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• High degree of numeracy and literacy
• Strong PC skills, including Excel (e.g. Macros, PivotTables) and PowerPoint
• Knowledge of SPSS and statistical techniques desired but not essential
• Ability to meet deadlines and juggle various tasks/projects
• Curiosity and a willingness to expand and learn new skills and ideas
• Willingness to travel
