Responsibilities The Business Marketing Manager takes lead responsibility for igniting and sustaining CNBC International's brand profile and awareness among its current and prospective client and agency partners across its international footprint. She/He identifies and pursues opportunities that maximise brand visibility and create an appetite for client engagement. He/she also ensures consistency of brand approach across the sales team internally to ensure a consistent, powerful customer proposition is brought to the ad sales market. Qualifications/Requirements KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
External - This role will build on a new and exciting narrative about CNBC in the advertising community and wider media industry in EMEA and APAC. Helping drive sales, the appointee will:
Fully embrace and bring to life CNBC International's new customer proposition and brand positioning in the International ad sales marketplace;
Establish a calendar of commercial brand activity and client engagement guided by a comprehensive stakeholder map and input from relevant colleagues;
Set out and coordinate an associated business communications plan to include core messaging, timing and delivery methods across appropriate platforms (events, digital, social etc);
Plan & deliver, with marketing team colleagues, studio events, tours, roundtable discussions, hospitality opportunities and experiences that allow clients and prospects to connect with CNBC;
Develop and manage the CNBC Catalyst media sales website;
Work with the Communications Manager in each region to enhance trade media relations and ensure all trade press opportunities are optimised;
Manage B2B social media strategy and implement an e-marketing campaign supporting sales objectives;
Explore and deliver key industry partnerships and event opportunities that deliver exceptional brand visibility and commercial reward.
Support CRM system management and other sales measurement processes.
Internal - The role will bring consistency of tone, voice and presentation to CNBC's sales tools and presentations before they reach the marketplace. Helping drive sales, the appointee will:
Embed CNBC International's new customer proposition, brand positioning and messaging across all sales tools and presentations and ensure consistency of use over time;
Ensure that all sales collateral and e-communications are fully exploited across the whole sales team (research data; viewer endorsements; client endorsements; imagery etc.);
Work closely with CNBC International brand and content marketing functions to ensure complementarity;
Attend sales meetings as a representative for the larger Marketing & Communications team;
Liaise closely with sales marketing colleagues at CNBC in the United States.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
You are clever, dynamic, persuasive, collaborative and persistent;
You know the media industry / advertising industry well and have worked in a similar role within it;
You understand the power of brands and the importance of proactive community building;
You have the drive to establish a new function and demonstrate its impact to a wider team;
You have strong commercial acumen and will help deliver sales.
REQUIREMENTS
Computer literate (MS Office, and beyond).
Eligible to work in the UK.
Willingness to travel.
