An independent record label in Silver Lake is seeking an experienced marketing person. CMH Label Group includes several labels, as well as a successful baby brand. We are ideally looking for someone with an expertise in marketing products and brands along with a strong knowledge/background in music.
We are looking for a creative person with experience in developing both short and long-term marketing plans, with a strong emphasis on social media initiatives.
Primary responsibilities:
• Conceive, develop and coordinate marketing plans for all the series' within CMH Label Group that complement the individual identities of each brand, and help drive their growth in both domestic and international markets.
• Develop and implement marketing strategies to increase traffic, sales and visibility on all our e-commerce sites.
• Craft and execute marketing plans for album, EP, single and sheet music releases, as well as merchandise.
• Maintain and increase compelling content and initiatives on blogs, Facebook/Twitter etc.
• Coordinate and manage staff so all marketing plans can be executed successfully and implemented promptly.
• Track campaigns and analyze how they impact revenue/brand awareness.
• Create a vision and voice for our brands.
• Write blog posts and gather a pool of talented freelance bloggers.
• Manage content and delivery of email blasts.
• Research and cultivate cross promotional opportunities.
Qualifications:
• 3-5 years' experience initiating and coordinating digital and product marketing.
• Proficiency with Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Tumblr, Pinterest, Vine, etc. + well-versed with Spotify, YouTube, Soundcloud and other music streaming platforms.
• Experience and aptitude with copywriting, proofing and social platform best practices
• Wide knowledge of e-commerce/email marketing and experience with Mail Chimp or similar email marketing platforms.
• Full understanding of SEO and tagging.
• Extensive experience with Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Excellent writing skills that can be adapted to the voice of each label.
• Creative thinker who is highly organized and meticulous.
• Comfortable working with groups and accepting considerable input from others.
• Experience with web analytic tools including Google Analytics.
• Basic Photoshop knowledge a plus.
• Strong interest in, and broad knowledge of music.
• Avid blog reader.
