Independent Record Label Seeks Well-Rounded Assistant Plus
Independent record label in Silver Lake, CMH Label Group, seeks a well-rounded assistant to the president and vice president, who also has the skills to handle special projects and areas of responsibility on their own. This is a full-time position. Applicants do not need to have previous work experience as an assistant or executive assistant. Applicants do need the work experience described below.
This position will primarily assist the president and vice-president of the company on all types of matters, ranging from legal issues to brand development and marketing. Some of the responsibilities will exceed those commonly associated with the role of assistant or executive assistant. Qualified applicants should have a comprehensive history of broad work experience, possess a professional demeanor and conduct themselves in a positive manner, in even the most challenging or complex situations. The person in this position can think critically and independently; form thoughtful and well considered opinions; and can potentially take ownership of some areas of responsibility.
The person in this position may also need to handle any number of other matters or projects, for the company and/or for other employees, but their key areas of responsibility will be to assist the president and vice-president.
Requirements:
* Can actively listen, form opinions and articulate them.
* Possess good judgement and analytical skills.
* Has excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as excellent interpersonal / people skills.
* Has an interest in brand development and marketing.
* Able to participate in upper management meetings, meetings with legal counsel and/or outside contractors and vendors.
* Be dependable, responsible, a quick learner, and curious.
* Possess good organizational skills.
* Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook as well as good typing skills.
* Experience with scheduling.
* Have a minimum of 10 years of professional and comprehensive work experience where evidence of the above can be demonstrably shown.
A plus:
* Having experience with legal agreements and an eye for contracts and ability to redline agreements.
* Experience with taking minutes.
