Full Time Unpaid Internship
The University Relations Intern will work within the CBS Interactive Human Resources team in our San Francisco office, part-time in the Spring and full-time in the Summer months. As a member of our team you will gain exposure to a wide range of Human Resources projects. Your primary role will be to help us build our Summer 2015 Internship Program.
This internship offers excellent training and mentoring. It is ideal for a student who wishes to explore and/or pursue a career in Human Resources. We are looking for a local candidate who can start in April and work part-time while still in school. This candidate must be returning to school after the summer for at least one more full semester.
Key Responsibilities
• Help develop and facilitate our Summer 2015 Internship Program (including orientation, networking events, and offsite events)
• Plan and coordinate multiple intern events for 40 interns at CBSi locations all across the country
• Manage intern new hire process including new hire orientation and new hire paperwork collection
• Post internships and full time positions to job boards
• Assist with screening candidates for internships and full time positions
• Sell our employment brand via social networking (e.g., maintain/develop our Twitter and Facebook Fan page, research and recommend new social networking tools)
• Assist with onsite recruiting events
• Assist recruiters with reference checks, screening candidates and other projects
Logistics
• Time commitment: Part-time onsite during the Spring; Full-time 40 hours per week during our regular business hours in the Summer (Monday – Friday 8:30 am – 5:30 pm)
• Location: 235 Second Street in San Francisco, just a 3 block walk from Montgomery St BART/MUNI station
• This is a paid internship and can also be for university credit if it meets your university's guidelines.
Qualifications:
• Leadership experience is a must
• Must have outstanding attention to detail
• Program/project/event management experience is a must
• Skilled in building successful relationships internally and externally
• Previous experience in recruiting a plus
• Ability to work and adapt to change in a fast paced environment
• Flexible, open minded and forward thinking
• Willing and open to learning and to new ideas
• Strong organizational skills (planning and prioritizing) and ability to multitask
• Ability to work independently and take initiative but also work well with coworkers in a team
environment
• Excellent communication and problem solving skills
• Excellent customer service skills
• Internet savvy and passionate about digital media
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel
• Intern candidates must be currently enrolled in college/university with at least one semester to go after completion of the internship
• Must successfully complete background check
