Intern, Business Development (Summer )
CBS Local Digital Media is looking for a summer intern to assist and support the Business Development team. This internship is an excellent opportunity for a student to gain experience working in a fast-paced, team-oriented work environment. Through this internship, the student will learn about CBS Local Digital Media's operations and will gain valuable skills and knowledge that can be applied toward their future career.
This internship will be based in New York City, and will be ten weeks in duration with a work schedule of 20 hours per week, beginning in mid-June and ending in mid-August. Interns will be paid $11 per hour.
Responsibilities:
The intern will support the Business Development team in day-to-day operations including, but not limited to:
• Analyzing and researching different competitive marketplaces, and formulating sound strategies for attack based off this research
• Assisting in negotiation efforts with in-talks partners; spearheading the outreach to new partners, which will include researching, outreach, and pitching
• Providing support on the review of partnership proposals and legal agreements
• Analyzing distribution partner network revenue and presenting recommendations to augment partner relationships
• Producing regular (e.g., weekly and monthly) ad-hoc reports of digital traffic, user engagement, and content production for various products and platforms
• Gathering requirements from stakeholders of a multifunctional team to produce their required reports and sometimes continuously fine-tune reporting formats
Qualifications:
Required:
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be enrolled in a full-time accredited college or university; junior or senior status preferred (intern will be required to produce verification of current enrollment).
• Minimum 3.0 GPA.
• Must be able to meet the time commitment for the internship program (10 weeks in duration; 20 hours per week).
• Must have a passion for digital media.
• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must have strong organizational and time management skills; attendance and punctuality is a must.
• Must have proficiency in MS Office suite.
• Prior experience in a professional environment preferred.
