Full Time Paid Internship
Our goal for the Drama Development Intern is to expose them to the network drama development process so they have a better understanding of the television industry and the work it takes to launch a broadcast drama series.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
• Reviewing writer/director samples and providing brief coverage with analysis
• Filing/restructuring miscellaneous materials in the master storage room
• Creating/maintaining spreadsheets for various development databases
• Reading the outlines and drafts for all the development shows
• Covering phones (sporadically)
PERKS:
• Listening in on internal notes sessions and external notes calls
• Viewing various cuts/dailies for all the development shows
• Observing pitches (occasionally)
The CBS Internship Program is designed to provide students with exposure to various departments within the television/entertainment industry.
With this in mind, managers are advised to delegate a diversified selection of assignments with an emphasis on projects, rather than clerical tasks. Additionally, the program serves as a way of providing CBS with an array of highly talented and qualified students eager to apply their skills in assisting with special projects.
This is intended to be a developmental experience, and as such, managers provide constructive guidance throughout the program.
Qualifications:

This internship is fulltime - 40 hours per week/ 9a - 6p
• Enrolled in a full-time accredited college or university, and will be junior or senior in the upcoming semester or a current graduate student
• Must be extremely well-organized, detail-oriented, and have the ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced, highly visible environment
• Must have impeccable communication and typing skills
• Must have knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Excel
