Television talk show seeks Tape Vault Manager.
This position assists the Supervisor in overseeing the general day-to-day running of the Tape Vault.
Key for this role would be familiarity with digital files, formats & specs; to be able to handle digital file processing, management and archival.
Ideal candidate would be flexible with their schedule; very dedicated and driven, with a desire to work in Post Production. This position involves weekends (Sat & Sun); regular shift is 10 hrs, with longer hours as/when needed - often with little or no advance notice, to see the show/project through.
Minimum 3 yrs' professional work experience, preferably in a Vault or Post setting. Must be efficient, extremely detail-oriented, and thrive in a very fast-paced, stressful environment.
The qualified candidate would have excellent communication and superb organizational skills, with great follow up. We're looking for a solid team player, a very positive force who will be able to lead our team by example; and see things through the toughest of times without complaint.
Ideal person would be able to adapt to a constantly changing workflow and priorities, and fluidly shift gears as needed. Be able to focus on the micro-view of each project; while also steadfastly maintaining a good macro-view of our Dept's workings.
Be able to interact with all levels of Production & Post, and handle a heavy volume of requests daily. Likewise be able to lead our team, set up procedures and workflow; prioritize jobs, and consistently check that deadlines and quality of work are met.
In the event of any issue, be able to quickly and calmly handle fixes; then analyze the issue and set up corrective measures/procedures accordingly.
This position would be extremely hands-on in the daily duties and operations of the Tape Vault - ie. tape processing (input data, label, track, pull, shelve); tracking of stock and project masters. This job does involve some heavy lifting, and meticulous data-entry work.
