Full Time Unpaid Internship
The iOS Developer Intern is primarily responsible for assisting with iOS projects with development, design and deployment. S/he will collaborate with Engineering, Product, Design, Marketing, QA, Operations and Editorial teams. Working from PSD designs and/or written specifications, the intern is responsible for the development of Objective C and Swift. This position requires excellent communication skills, along with good organization and collaboration abilities.
Logistics:
• Time commitment: full-time, 40 hours per week during our regular office hours (Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 5:30 pm) but times may vary per team
• This is a paid internship and can also be for university credit if it meets your university's guidelines
Qualifications:
Technical Skills
At least 1 year(s) development experience working with the following:
Required:
• Mobile application development (iOS (Objective-C and/or Swift)
• Good understanding of iOS architecture
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g. git)
• Familiarity with object-oriented programming and design skills
Preferred:
• Knowledge of Agile and/or similar development methodologies
• Solid iOS theoretical knowledge
• Familiarity with issue tracking systems (e.g. JIRA)
• Knowledge in UX design patterns
• Experience writing unit tests using modern testing tools
Non-Technical Competencies:
• Ability to work as part of a close-knit cross-functional team
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Excellent attention to detail and a high-level of accountability
• Ability to estimate development schedules
Additional Requirements:
• Intern must be a student currently enrolled in an accredited college or university
• Must be at least 18 years old
