Full Time Unpaid Internship
CBS Corporation recognizes the hard work and dedication it takes to serve our country. We value the skills you developed during your time in the military – leadership, problem solving, teamwork and attention to detail, to name a few. These same qualities are essential to our success as a company. We are committed to fostering an environment that attracts and embraces the brightest minds. We work toward creating a culture that welcomes a diversity of ideas and perspectives while encouraging growth.
CBS Corporation is launching its Summer 2016 Veteran Internship Program for qualified college Veteran students who are enrolled full-time in an accredited university.
Through this initiative, we are committed to supporting the career development of our veterans by offering hands-on experience, career-building workshops, professional development courses and the opportunity to network with the best in our business. Although the following internships (listed below) are based in various departments, the program will be coordinated so participants take part in all of the aforementioned learning opportunities.
CBS Corporation is encouraging Veterans who are current full-time college students to apply. All of the following internships are paid and located in either New York City, Los Angeles, Boston, Sacramento, San Francisco or Chicago. Each description provides more detail about the specific internship.
CBS Interactive– Social Media Video Intern- San Francisco, CA
The social media video intern will identify successful video editing styles used by many sites ; track best practices; and create video content for each platform. These would include short-form video complementing CNET's daily coverage, infographic-style videos, animated gifs and other concepts the intern is interested in exploring. The intern will learn valuable skills and strategy working in the hot field of social media, and will work closely with a fast-paced, news-oriented editorial team. They'll also work at every stage of the life cycle of a project: from the brainstorming process, to making a final product, then analyzing the success of their work, learn industry standards and create custom video to be used on CNET's Facebook page as well as other social media accounts. This is a highly collaborative role and will give the intern the chance to work closely with the social media team, editors in both CNET Reviews and CNET News, as well as CNET's video team.
