General Job Description:
CBS 58 seeks an experienced Multi-Media Journalist.
Receives assignment or evaluates news leads and news tips to develop story lines.
Organize material, determine slant or emphasis and writes story according to prescribed editorial style and format standards.
Shoots video and still photos to illustrate stories.
Gives live reports from site of event or mobile broadcast unit.
Write and produce quality news stories for multiple media platforms.
Other duties, as assigned.
Must have a minimum of two years, news experience in shooting and reporting, including gathering content, editing, and running their own live shot.
Must have strong live skills and the ability to research, write, shoot, and edit daily news stories under deadline pressure.
Must also have a strong understanding of multi-platform journalism including how to shoot, write and edit stories, video and photographs for the web and social media. Investigative work a plus.
Must have a valid driver's license.
