General Job Description:
Live and work in the city that US News ranks as one of the top three up and coming places to live in the US. WDJT-TV The fast growing CBS Affiliate for Milwaukee/Southeast Wisconsin is looking for an outstanding Investigative Photojournalist to work closely with our Investigative Reporter. We need a top notch aggressive photographer to help research, develop and produce groundbreaking investigative news stories that will set the market on fire. We want someone obsessed with doing good investigative TV journalism. We want a good citizen who can play ball with other strong TV Journalists and work well with newsroom managers.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Work with an Investigative Reporter on generating long and short-term investigative news projects and content.
Contribute research and analysis on major breaking news events off and on the air.
Knowing what news tips can be turned into investigations.
Handle projects from start to finish, collaborating with special projects producers
Handle multiple projects at once and meet deadlines
Develop and maintain sources that will generate exclusive story content and news reports
Other duties, as assigned.
Requirements:
Camera operation and non-linear editing experience is required.
Must be flexible in scheduling, available for some travel and overnight trips.
Knowledge of legal and ethical requirements for investigative reporting
Experience on surveillance shoots
Multimedia- Journalist skills are a must.
Strong communication skills; flexibility to work unusual hours at times.
Two plus years reporting experience and a degree in Journalism or related field preferred.
Valid driver's license and insurability required.
