BuzzFeed is seeking someone who is ambitious, organized, proactive and enthusiastic to work with us as our People Team Coordinator. This is a new role that will provide support to several areas of the People Team and will also have a small portion of executive assistant responsibilities. This is a unique opportunity to learn about all areas of BuzzFeed while also serving a critical need.
Responsibilities:
• Act as point person for all logistics, coordination and communication around onboarding and related new employee activities.
• Creating presentations and design collateral for learning team.
• Maintain training calendar, manage scheduling and arrange logistics for all courses, ensuring advance and day of arrangements are complete and sessions run smoothly.
• Research/curate learning content, tools, vendors and resources to support the build out of digital learning offerings and toolkits.
• Develop and maintain productive working relationships with external providers of learning solutions, including contract support.
• Create and maintain intranet learning pages and related content
• Perform administrative work (e.g., data entry, reporting, etc.) in the Learning Management System (LMS)
• Support the exit process for voluntary departures and assist with maintaining HR files and accurate information in our HRIS
• Assist HR Business Partners with day-to-day operations and coordination of special projects
• Provide backup support to Recruiting team with onsite interview coordination and greeting candidates
• Support the planning and execution of internal and recruiting events
Executive Assistant Duties:
• Provide administrative support to executives
• Coordinate executive calendar and department meetings and events.
• Arrange travel logistics, and prepare monthly expense reports
• Other light administrative duties as requested
Requirements:
• 2 years of related experience as an Administrative Assistant, Learning and Development Coordinator or HR Coordinator.
• Strong proficiency in in Google Apps and MS Office
• Experience with expense software such as Concur a plus
• Strong project and time management skills with an ability to maintain several priorities and meet established deadlines
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and organization skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment
• Ability to treat highly confidential information with care and discretion
• Can do attitude and solutions oriented mindset
• Sense of humor is a huge plus
