BuzzFeed, the social news and entertainment company, is seeking a People Operations Coordinator to support the day to day activity and ongoing projects of the Human Resources team under the guidance of the Director of People Operations.
Joining our growing People Team, this person will have a direct impact on the ability of our team to serve the needs of a rapidly growing, highly dynamic global cross-platform media company.

Key Accountabilities
• Complete all data maintenance for employee transactions (hires, transfers, terms, etc.) in our HR, Payroll, and Timekeeping systems
• Process and track all HR related invoices for payment with finance
• Perform employment verifications
• Reorganize and maintain employee files, both digitally and in paper form
• Assist with ongoing data validation/clean-up activities
• Assist with other team projects as needed
Job Skills, Experience and Qualifications
• 1-2 internships in a corporate environment, bonus if in HR
• Candidates should want to pursue a career in Human Resources
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, demonstrating natural ease and effectiveness when dealing with clients/colleagues at all levels
• A passion for helping others and the ability to get along with all types of people
• Work collaboratively as part of a global People Team
• Proficient with Macs, and Google applications
• Detail-oriented doesn't even begin to describe your organization skills
• Discretion, maturity, and diplomacy with handling sensitive/confidential information
• 'Can do' attitude and a healthy sense of humor
