Full Time Job
BuzzFeed's pop culture and viral content team is looking for a staff writer to work full-time out of our LA office. The position requires not only that you have a background in pop culture (TV, film, music, etc.) and a passion for nostalgia (maybe you’re an ‘00s kid, or still miss Chappelle’s Show), but also that you have made consistently viral content.
We're looking for innovative writers who are obsessed with the things people are sharing, liking, recommending, and talking about when it comes to pop culture and nostalgia. The ideal candidate will have a genuine love for both topics, and a firm sense of what kinds of things people like to share. They will also be able to produce work quickly, be willing to experiment with a variety of different content types to see what works, and be interested in analyzing the results of their work.

• Write, edit, and produce posts for BuzzFeed
• Make stuff that people like to share
• Generate ideas for new formats, headlines, and post types
• Contribute to the conversation about nostalgia and pop culture
• Actively seek out opportunities that are original, fresh, and innovative
