Early Career Program Manager (Los Angeles)
BuzzFeed Inc. is looking for a proactive and creative Early Career Pipeline Program Manager to work on the People Team. This role supports our dynamic and creative career pipeline programs across BuzzFeed and will be based in Los Angeles.
BuzzFeed, Inc is a breeding ground for new programming initiatives and innovation in the ways we deliver content to both consumers and brands. In order to keep up with the demand for content generation and ideas, we employ an army of creatives who fuel the content engine at all levels. This Program Manager will oversee the marketing, attracting and hiring of this talent pool for BuzzFeed while also reducing barriers to entry. The role partners closely with our Intern and Fellowship leaders to cultivate program experiences and outreach strategies.
In this role you'll partner across BuzzFeed to devise a strategy to advance the development and management of our high-volume campus and post-graduate early career pipeline programs. You will report into the Head of Talent Acquisition.
This is a role that demands creativity, strategic thinking and project management skills. Responsibilities:
• Develop experiential outreach programs aligned with the hiring goals of the early career programs.
• Design thoughtful timeline for marketing and activation of hiring process to meet aggressive goals. Partner with recruiting resources and hiring managers to facilitate the external hiring process as well as the internal conversion-to-staff selection process.
• Cultivate program experiences (mixers, speakers, mentorships) to elevate the program participants' experiences with BuzzFeed.
• Develop off boarding metrics and best practices to measure success and plan for smooth transitions into the businesses.
• Support the viability of these pipeline programs by collecting and sharing best practices across the company.
Requirements:
• At least 5 years of experience in recruiting, or a combination of experience in other human resources or project management roles.
• Strong project management and organizational skills. Digital Media experience is a strong plus, understanding of the creative mindset.
• Analytical mindset and experience with using data to inform progress and outcomes.
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated skills as an innovator and relationship builder with a strong service orientation.
• Demonstrated leadership skills.
• Experience working in and supporting an inclusive, multi-cultural environment.
